I was blessed to pencil in my first event for the New Year 2022 with a confirmation class (of 8th graders) at Saint Luke’s Catholic Church.
We started with the question, “Dear God, what do you think or feel about me?”
Sometimes, it is difficult to drown out the distractions, fears, worries and lies that consume our minds to hear the gentle and loving voice of God that comes from our hearts.
But when we do take a moment to be still, we get to hear God’s heart for us…
you are my child
be not afraid
come what may, i am with you
you are young and have a long life ahead
learn to love
it’s okay
follow your dreams
spread joy, kindness and goodness.
In this broken world, there is pain and hardships, but we have a Creator who loves us so much that He would never leave us nor forsake us and will always be with us. He is the God who makes miracles possible, who created the universe and created US — we are His miracles too.
By being alive and living our lives, we are His living miracles. There is a whole kaleidoscope of colours you get to see in life once you realise that you are a miracle and you are so loved.
And anything that comes against you in your lives is not from God, but those obstacles are there for you to overcome WITH Him, and not alone because He loves us.
