usually, i take time to be still with the Lord before i know what i’m going to paint i.e. the art He has commissioned me to create. but being a mother of three means it is not always easy to find time to be still. so this time, i turned to my children to ask what they thought God wanted me to paint for a young adults retreat at the We Want More Ministry and this is what my 9 year old shared with me…

“A lion!

With lots of light shining out of it, like when Jesus resurrected from the tomb!”

that is when i heard a loud “ROAR!” from my heart and the following words then captivated my soul…

Your voice is like a lion’s roar.

Your voice has power.

Your voice matters.

You are a laughing lioness.

You are powerful, radiant and majestic

You are my chosen one

You are my beloved daughter

You are cherished and adored

You are seen

He rejoices in you.

He is delighted in you

You sparkle

And you are loved

by our Heavenly Father who wants to lavish you with His love.

And all He wants us to know is how loved we are.

And it is His love that gives us new life; and a choice to live our lives with the voice of truth that gives us His power, courage and light that overcomes any darkness that we come face to face with.

So let your hearts ROAR with His love!

Proverbs 30:5,8-9,29-30 (TPT)

Every promise from the faithful God is pure and proves to be true. He is a wraparound shield of protection for all his lovers who run to hide in him.

Empty out of my heart everything that is false— every lie, and every crooked thing. And give me neither undue poverty nor undue wealth— but rather, feed my soul with the measure of prosperity that pleases you. May my satisfaction be found in you… Then my life will never detract from bringing glory to your name.
There are four stately monarchs who are impressive to watch as they go forth: the lion, the king of the jungle, who is afraid of no one…”
